Does anyone know if Dodge is offering the Yes Essential Seats on the Caliber R/T anymore? I hate the website, all the available equipment changed again with the recent updates. The website works better but it still stinks compared to competitor sites and is lacking information. I sure hope it is wrong because I want the R/T and the YES Essential seats. I know the best place for this information is usually the dealer but in lieu of making a trip there and/or wasting my time asking a question the dealer can't readily answer, I thought I'd ask here!! Thanks.

Meadowlands of Carmel (NY) has a new Black R/T AWD with Yes Essentials seats in stock. I'd recommend the leather for the R/T though, very nice! Where in NY are you?

I think they are just coated with a stain retardant similar to scotch guard.
It's actually more than that.
YES Essentials fabric is stain-resistant, odor resistant, anti-static seat fabric.

The only downside is if you order them you lose the colour inserts on the Sport and R/T.

I believe it works the same way traditional scotch guarding works yet instead of coating the material after construction, the fabric and threads are coated prior to being constructed. This provides a much lower rate of stain penetration by protecting each individual fiber.

The Yes Essentials fabric was developed by the Milliken textile & chemical company. You can find more information regarding the feature here:

http://www.yesessentials.com/YEW/AboutUs/WhatIs/http://www.yesessentials.com/YEW/AboutUs/WhatIs/AboutUs.htm

The Yes Essential seats are available on SXT and R/T models but are not compatible with the color keyed or leather seating options.

This is a link to a Technical Service Bulletin warning people to NOT put aftermarket fabric-protecting coatings on YES Essentials seats. It ruins the protection built into the fabric. In other words, if your Caliber has the YES Essentials seats then don't let the dealer jack you for eight hundred dollars of "protection" added to the invoice.

Here's the first page of that TSB:

Both Chanda and OrangeRT asked what Yes Essentials were but I do not see aspecific response that indicates how we are supposed to figure out if we have them on our Calibers.

Are they a special order item or standard on certain models?

Having the TSB only helps if we can figure out if it applies to us.

Any clarification would be appreciated.
