Hello all,

It seems an increasing amount of members have been rigorously posting pictures of there new calibers. I figured if you didn’t mind sharing them with the internet, you wouldn’t mind sharing them with all of the Dodge Owners across the USA & Canada.

Every few months Dodge takes a handful of submitted stories/photos and packs them into the Dodge Owners Magazine. I figure with the Caliber being a new addition to the dodge lineup, some of you might have a pretty good shot of being included in the next magazine.

Some of the photo's I’ve seen are pretty good/funny, apologies if I missed any.

If you wanted to toss your hat into the ring, contact the following people:

If you want to send them to us in addition you can I don’t mind the extra email. Unfortunately we have 0 say to who graces the pages of the magazine. :)

I have a feeling that this may spur a “who can take the best/funniest Caliber picture” contest.

I can't submit anything on your behalf for legal reasons. If you want to submit anything then you can use the channels I provided.

I figured some of you may be interested in this, so I posted it. It's been a really busy for a Saturday...

I like this....and those two examples are excellent, portraying the joy that we all feel about our Calibers. Makes me want to run out and snap some pictures. :D

omg. wait till i've gone to the gym again and we'll stage the whole shot one more time...

i think i'll submit it... who knows eh?

*edit*

here's my email... i hope i didn't sound like i was sucking up too much...

hi there, i'm a member of www.caliberforums.com and i was informed by one of your wonderfully approachable associates that you take pictures of owners enjoying their dodges and plop them into the dodge owners magazine... well i suggest you comb through those forums as we have tonnes of pictures of us enjoying our new calibers. i for one love my caliber to friggin bits. i make the lamest excuses just to drive the thing. i love the look of it, the feel of it, the sound of it. i doubt this is anything you want to hear from me but i just wanted you to know how happy i am with this wonderful machine you have brought into my life. i want to personally congradulate all the great people at the illinois plant who had a hand in putting my black sxt sport together they did a bang up job.

i was prompted to send a picture of myself enjoying my new car so i have done so as well... hope you find some good ones out there and consider mine among them! keep up the fantastic work!

p.s. my buddy rehan and i were goofing around with a digital camera and we decided to post our video online if you were inclined to check it out, here it is.

I'm not on the Internet much anymore...too busy with the move. :( I know some of my pictures are floating around. I may not have the car anymore but I think they're good pictures. Could someone send them their way? They may get a kick out of them.

And my vids. :D

The point that DodgeInfoCenter was trying to make in post #3, and that some of you guys may be missing, is that the pics must be submitted directly to the magazine by the owner for them to be published. They can't come to the forums to "take" what they find here on the board.

I hope that helps....
BTW, the 2 pics he posted here as examples are really great! :D

Exactly.

They could lift the pictures from the website without written consent to use them. Its easier (and safer) to get the directly from the source.

When you submit the photos along with a written letter/statement, it acts as written and legal consent for them to use your photos in the magazine. Although it is a nice gesture, I strongly doubt any member of the magazine staff will ever visit the forum to scour for pictures.

Now if they poke around recreationally, that would be fine. Best case scenario would be if they put together a “Cars of CaliberForums.com” and gave the community a little press coverage across the Dodge ownership base.

Hmmmm... I'll have to whip up a lil blurb and photo segment about my adventures storm chasing. That has to rank somewhere up there for unique uses for the "anything but cute" vehicle. Maybe they'll be extra nice and send a free roof rack my way ;) (ya right) Ya never know! : )

Dan, I wonder if we can get the site published, imagine the amount of potential members we would get to enter the site!?!? Maybe someone submitting the pictures can mention about this site in the E-Mail.

Like I said, we don’t have any involvement in the magazine and who gets published within its pages.

Personally I think your best bet would to get a few members to work together and come up with a collection of short stories and fun pictures involving your Calibers. Something creative, fun and easy to read (for all ages) while highlighting the Caliber's features and this community would make good reading.

Online communities are great because they craft a sense of family amongst people who would otherwise be strangers and believe it or not, this community is responsible for a few Caliber sales. It seems those who come here as prospective buyers usually becoming owners at some point in time.

This request always comes up but I don’t have anything to give you guys. If I give it to one, I have to give it to you all. I promise that if we ever do any kind of Caliber prize give away you will be notified but I highly doubt that will ever happen

I'd bet that a picture of an entire grandfather clock laying inside my caliber would get their attention...I'll get this done.
