Ok, being ASE certified and doing commercial truck tech support, I can't take the damn abbreviations anymore.

Many abbreviations are used in automotive, but a lot are just made up. Their are several that are widely used and accepted by the SAE, which is what I typically stick to. There are so many flying around here I can't keep up. I need a master list.

I'll start:

BOV - Blow Off Valve
LCA - Lower Control Arm
FMIC - Front Mount Intercooler
WOT - Wide Open Throttle (SAE term)
WGA - Wastegate?
SEE - Side Exit Exhaust (give me a break)
BOP - Block Off Plate?
MAP - Manifold Air Pressure (SAE term)
MAF - Mass Air Flow (SAE term)
IAT - Intake Air Temperature (SAE term)
CPS - Crankshaft/Camshaft Position Sensor

Any more?
