guys. im gonna say something once and i hope everyone gets the point im trying to get across. because im tired of dealing with trolls, alias' and fan boys.
ptp lost his rights on this page. he couldnt coexist with the competition here (even though hes able to make it work on the other forum :notallthere
, so we had to ask him to leave. i make no attempts to keep members from purchasing his products or to discourage members from discussing parts they want or have from him, after all this is a car forum and we are here to talk about this type of stuff.
but lately (and im guilty of this as well) there has been a surge in ptp hate threads, cross links, discussion etc etc. this becomes a problem because along with the discussion it also attracts more and more alias' and trolls and generally brews a bad environment. but perhaps what is being missed is that amongst all the poking fun at and laughs is that your not only discrediting them... your also advertising them. there was 3 threads on active topics today all with "ptp" in the thread title, another 2 threads with video of their car, and i had to ban yet another alias/troll/fanboy last night. all this draws attention away from our supporting vendors and makes people (especially newbies) more interested in following the drama. it also spreads a negative view of us as for lack of a better word "shiit starters" and spreaders, and it just makes for a lousy environment that possibly drives new members away from this forum and into others.
i would hate to think we are losing potential members over this crap or that we are looked at as anything other than enthusiasts of this great car by others.
now you guys know im the last person to tell you what you can and cant talk about and that i will always stick up for you when someone tries to tell you you cant say something on here so dont take this as me saying dont speak about you want. all im saying is, i would just like you to take what i just said into concideration when discussing this topic.
