The other day i went to a sunoco gas station and put 5 gallons of 110 octane and guys i don't if u have gone thru the same thing but this car after 3rd gear (complete traction control off) it has SO MUCH torque steer that it's almost imposible to keep it in the same lane; i have this car for over a year and elieve me the torque steer that i been getting lately is almost imposible to do a decent race without scaring the other guy:jester:. Anyways i been looking around and i don't find anything in concrete that would actually get rid of this problem. Is anyone going thru the same problem?

I've reading around and the traction bars doesn't do any better and am telling u this car scare the sh^t out of everybody when they drive it....anybody other than me can't keep in the same lane which in the first few gear is not that much of a problem but on 4th when u go over a 100m/h believe me you'll fear for your life:icon_eek:

The more and more you drive it the more you get used to it and learn to counter the torque steer better. I had the same problem, wish there was fix for it but its a FWD.

Scary and fun all the the same time. :banger:

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You can only give a fwd car so much power before you have to convert it to track only.
I think that point for us is a about 350hp and tq.

You can drive with more but to race you have back off on the throttle to keep from roasting tires and loosing control. If you have to back off on the throttle what's the point of having the power unless you live on a track and have DR's on all the time.

I could floor mine with 360+HP and I could control it fine. With race gas I only really had a few runs but it as also totally controllable on the highway after getting used to it.

I'm not saying u can't control it, is just hard to keep it straight and that's with me driving that am used to it. I got a friend who has driven the car and he goes from one lane to the other (he's afraid of the car):jester:

get some motor mount inserts.......that helped ALOT. between inserts and my downpipe, the trq steer isnt as big an issue when it was stock. Just gotta death grip the wheel with 1 hand. Would wider tires help the trq steer?

sway bars!!!

i dunno the who what when where and why but it has almost eliminated tq steer.

if someone with the sways on their car can back me up or if someone can explain it please chime in.

Ever since ive installed the sways my tq steer is almost gone im gonna literally say it took away 50-60% of it.

thats kinda like me saying the downpipe helped lol.........really though, I feel as though the downpipe made the powerband alot smoother. Sway bars though? dunno, I mean I guess I could see the aspect of 1 "suspension upgrade" eliminating the problem.......I take it your slammed? Since most people dont put those sway bars on unless there lowered?
