I've seen several Cali's that have eyelids on here: UN4, Black Sleeper, etc...

I'm interested in getting eyelids and was wondering what methods are available. FYI, I'm familiar with fiberglass, but I'm not great at it.

I know there are other options like vinyls and painting them on, but figured there would be other ideas that I haven't even considered.

UN4, I know yours are fiberglass. How did you go about getting the correct angles and curves? Did you do it on the headlight assembly?

Black Sleeper, are yours painted on? How much was it and did you have a template for the design as I have seen the same design elsewhere.

Are there kits that I can order?
I have seen this, but dont like the look persoanlly. I like the look Black Sleeper accomplished where it is a step down toward the center.

Additionally, any other advice/options are appreciated!

TIA! :beerchug::wave:

If I'm not mistaken the ebay link are my eyelids (BlackSleeper can confirm this, as I bought them off of him)

They come with 3m tape on the inside but if you look at my "sneak peak" thread you will see that i removed the 3m tape and attached them with silicone. they match the headlight really well, so the silicone works better than the 3m tape would have ever hoped to have matched IMO

when you say angle, what do you mean?

BlackSleeper's lids are painted on and so is another member from Quebec, Juair (spelling?)

I was mainly looking at Black Sleepers where it follows the lines and direction's of the light assembly (angles aka edge bends). I figured his were painted on...

Yours don't look like the ebay ones, UN4, but it could be that your have the black headlights... if they are the same ones, then it looks WAY better with the black headlights!

Black Sleeper, got any templates of your eyelids? BTW, did you ever sell them?

I ordered the vinyl ones from ebay in metallic silver which does match ps2 at all. Theres no metallic flake in it at all. I took them to a sign shop to have them scanned and cut in a new color that matches i better. Its the closest color to ps2 in vinyl. I should have them installed tomorrow.

don't forget BlackSleeper has the ebay projector lights too...so his painted on eyelids are painted to cover over the leds on the top of those lights...

thanks man, i think the angles of the ebay pictures just suck anyways  and the black headlights help to make the eyelids that much more noticable

Myself I got the fiberglass eyelids off ebay. I believe you still can find it there. I trimmed the eyelids down as I didn't want no law enforcement issues, it's against the law here in Hawaii. Thought I could get by with ghosting it in leaving a lot of the headlight exposed. Plus I wanted a more agressive angle.

I'm not gonna do it to my stockers. I'm one of those guys who keep backups/stock parts to swap back out...

I'm debating ordering the DEPO Black lights and doing it to those. Anyone put eyelids on those yet?

I love the look with the projectors, but I read that they have some downfalls in the light emission department. And a much higher price tag.

TIA!:beerchug:
