Hey guys, are there any companies who make tire chains for this odd size wheel?? Any help would be appreciated.
Snow in LA, there is a scary thought.you need them in LA?
QFT........Any road that requires chains to drive on is going to be in miserable condition due to said chains, especially here in Cali. If you hit a nice hole or bump in the road the suspension is going to compress and those chains will inflict some serious blunt force trauma on your fenders. No matter how good you are at putting on chains they will flop around some when driving, I wouldn't risk it. Chrysler doesn't seem to think it's a very good either considering they took the time to advise against it in the owners manual. In our owners manual it clearly says chains are not to be used as there isn't enough clearance in the wheel wells.
Please take our advice man...Dont run your caliber Anywhere where chains are necessary. Even with good snow tires, this car was complete crap for me in the winter, and we get alot of snow. If they are saying chains are necessary, the road conditions will be extremely bad, possibly ruining your car.Guys, i am looking to get them for when i visit very snowy and icy areas. I go snowboarding and sometimes they will not let you pass a certain point without them. thanks.
Agreed! or go rent a vehicle and drive it like you stole it! Unless you did steal it....just remember to wipe any prints off LOL!:bigthumb:Please take our advice man...Dont run your caliber Anywhere where chains are necessary. Youd be better off buying a 500$ beater and using that.
I double checked with Colorado Springs Dodge, and that representative says the Dodge Caliber can handle chains! In our owners manual it clearly says chains are not to be used as there isn't enough clearance in the wheel wells.
