To each his own. I think they took an amazing looking car and completely f**cked up the design. I think you agree because you opted for a black one in order to hide the front end:bigthumb: Say what you want, to each his own, enjoy your ride. The previous pics speak for themselves.

When I was young the cops brought "Blinky" the safety car around to all the schools. It had big ass eyes and a stupid smiling face, I guess we haven't come that far in 30 years:wave:

As for perfromance they want $35,000 for a speed3 here in Newmarket, Ontario. My car cost $22,000 I hope for $13,000 more you can drive circles around me, I doubt it, but for your sake I hope so.

Enough bickering we're all car fans with different opinions, its what makes the world go around.

I already said I hated the goofy smiley face, but you know what, the Caliber looks f*ckin hideous from the front too so I don't know where you get off?

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... :twak:

Either way, I like the Caliber AND the Speed3, and the MSRP of a FULLY LOADED Caliber SRT-4 is (was) $31,000 and change... which was the same price as a loaded MS3.

I have the window stickers to prove it...

You can buy a brand new 2010 Mazda Speed3 in the U.S. for $23,000 so what's your point? Only reason it's so much more in Canada is because they dont give you the OPTION to get a stripped down model, it just comes with EVERYTHING.

Apples to apples man...

Judging by your response I hit a nerve:mecry:. That pic of the Cali just proves what a great car it is especially from the front, I guess thats where I get off!!!

Apples to apples, you can opt out of a package here changing the price on the speed. Sooo I'm not quite sure what you mean. If we're going to compare car prices from the US to Can then we better "compare apples to apples". Car prices in the US are significantly cheaper then here, hence when we reached parity why so many Canucks went south to shop.

Don't get so defensive about things, I just said I thought the 09s were a better looking car. Me personally I'd give up the boost gauge to get rid of that horrid smiling face but you like it then good for you. We agree to disagree, happy motoring.....

There's no nerve hit, I already said I like both cars, I owned both cars! But critics and the car mags have torn apart the looks of BOTH these cars, but who cares as long as we like them.

You said you got your car for $22,000 so you could spend the extra money modding your Caliber to improve it's performance and handling.

Well, either you live in the United States where the price of a Speed3 is $23,000 so no advantage there, or you bought your car used in Canada (which in that case isn't a fair apples to apples comparison because you can buy used Speed3's in Canada for cheap too).

If what you're saying is that you bought your car brand new in Canada for $22,000 then you got some kind of un-holy deal for an SRT with no options and that does not reflect what an average buyer can get (which as I said, was a Caliber with an MSRP of $30,000+ loaded).

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway... we're just going 'round and 'round here.

Well I can tell you from experience a mazdaspeed 3 here when I went to buy it was 28,000 lol and they wouldn't budge on the price. On top of that a well optioned srt4 at the time had quite a bit more then a loaded ms3. This horse has been beaten to death the ms3 handling isn't much better then the csrt and with a few mods can be made quicker. On the other hand the ms3s engine is no where near the csrt4s.

:eek:fftopic: just my 2 cents lol I could get into it deeper but its been done already

Wow, what kind of loser would spend all that money to make his Caliber SXT look "Just like a REAL SRT-4"

There is a serious need for some face-palm here...

:notallthere:
What kind of a loser would get rid of a Caliber SRT-4 for a MazdaSpeed3 ("Zoom Zoom it's still crap") and still post on a Caliber Forum?

:notallthere:

I think it's time to move on.
