Hello everyone,
I was hoping I could get some opinions, and hopefully answers, with my 2009 Caliber with less than 70k. I had just pulled out of my driveway and around 500ft and at 5mph and slowing to a stop, I felt as if I was stopping on ice, and I was stopped. I immediately put my card in park, got out to assess the situation, and to my surprise my passenger side tire was turned outward and against my finder. I walked back to turn off my car, but the time I started to walk back to the passenger side all of my transmission fluid was pouring out as if it was being changed. I called the towing company to have it towed to be fixed, they loaded my car from the rear where they were continuous issues of keeping my tire from bending the front of the finder. After speaking with the mechanic he said that I was needing a front right axel, front right lower control arm, axel seal, and transmission fluid. But what I'm concerned with along with the ball joint/control arm disconnection is that the mechanic said there may be transmission issues, and that he wouldn't be able to tell until the axel arrived. With the factors of speed, and response, should I expect any issues with the transmission?
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you!
