ashram,
Do you know of any local mechanics or muffler shop that's cool? I really don't think they would charge too much. I had a neighbor that had headers installed by a local muffler/speed shop and they charged him $70.
well, my headers are sitting on my doorstep as i type. hopefully they will still be there when i make it home!

Like a pet waiting for it's owner.
BTW do you have anything else done to the engine, like a intake, muffler? Just wondering what kind of gains you'll get once the headers are in with obviously a different variation than mines. Still I'll bet you'll love the headers, plus they look so nice in there.

K&N intake installed and the mopar exhaust pending (once someone finishes looking it over)
the intake was an instant gain in mileage for me so far (not by much, will know for sure at next fillup) and acceleration (smoother, quicker, LOUDER).
the only downside is that the wife now wants some of the same done to her caliber (we have 2) so i may have to buy everything again :(

i'm hoping having everything setup by this weekend/early next week

I just put the header on mine. Didn't realy notice any difference in sound with the cat bak and K&N intake already installed. But it did feel a little bit faster and I couldn't pass it up for a $100 on ebay. I'm interested to see how it does on your car.

Was it a Mopar Header? Wow! $100, now that's a deal. Sounds like you already got the intake and exhaust covered, nice.

i was gonna buy the same setup on ebay but it was like 127 bucks for the mopar and listed the same way pretty much with like 4 other vehicles, btw did urs come with the new bolts and gasket??? the pic didnt show??? btw those of you who have changed their mufflers, did u do anything with the cats?? or do u leave them stock?? ive thought about taking one or both out and putting hi/flow cats in. I had a cat-less x pipe on my mustang GT and was a lot louder and seemed to get a lot more response with it being less restrictive. ive been trying to decide on a muffler to put on and I can weld so dont need an installer. wat series magnaflow, dynomax and has anyone put like 50 or 80 series flowmaster muffler on?

The mopar header includes the bolts and gasket for the converter side hookup. The head exhaust manifold bolts and gasket were not supplied in this kit. Bolts here are to be reused. I replaced this gasket purchased from the dealer. I forgot what the gasket cost but it was pretty cheap.

Cats for now left stock but I wouldn't doubt that a hi-flow might help. The stock muffler I know is restrictive and a very odd design. I have a thread somewhere that shows the stock muffler cut open. I'll find it later of if you have some luck in hunting it down. As far as which muffler works, I left that recommendation to my trusty exhaust shop.

You wouldn't by chance have the info on that header still would you? It's be nice to have a diagram of the thing so I can design one for an AWD app.
If you're referring to the instructions, yes. Basic info mentions it's designed for the 2.0 and 2.4 FWD. However there seems to be quite a bit of room back there so I can see the header being modded to clear the AWD components. There's no diagram and the pictures on the instructions are not very good. It's just photocopied pages and best only for instructional help.

To start of the New Year got the Mopar Headers. Will be installing it in the days to come but for now it has a role of a paperweight. The piece feels real good and the ports looks nice. Will take some photos to compare with the factory exhaust manifold later. Whatever the case should flow better and hope with the Intake and muffler mods free up more power and sound better.
Where did you find your headers ??
