I have a 2007 dodge caliber sxt. I have water leaking in the car from somewhere (only when it rains). The floor board in the from and back get filled with about a couple inches of water. I also have water that is in the Dom light that leaks.
Can someone tell me posibly where the water might be coming from!!! I think it might be the sun roof but I could be wrong.

Mine does exactly the same exact same places...I have to put a shower curtain or some big piece of plastic on the roof... At least we don't have a wet ass when we get in anymore, but I've yet to find out why, where or how it's leaking...

Leaking

I have a 2008 Caliber that had water in the drivers side floor board - after many many MANY hours we finally figured out it was 2 different sources, one was the obvious, the sunroof seal needed replacing, the 2nd wasnt quite as obvious and ended up being the seal around the rear tail light. From all of my research, with these Calibers, it could be anywhere! I wish you all the best... it took us about 4 months to figure it out and get it fixed. Keep in mind the electrical wiring is also in the floorboard - we had to replace some of the wiring there too - now our Engine light keeps coming on for no apparant reason but atleast we are now dry! Good luck!

If you are getting water in your front dome light or ceiling, the sunroof drains are probably clogged. (it happened to me) There are two holes on either front corner of the sun roof where water is supposed to drain out of. What you can do is get a can of compressed air (computer duster with a plastic hose like on WD40) and some stickytack or playdoh. Stick it in the drain, seal it with stickytack and blow out the line.

We found our leak!

After three months of searching, we found the leak in our 2007 Caliber. I wanted to share with others in case this car is driving you nuts like it has us.The leak is underneah the front wheel well on the passenger side. The leak is the horizontal seam and just behind the vertical seam. When you squirt water in these areas the floor board on the passenger side leaks. We believe rain water is thrown up by the tires and leaks into the car when it rains. The car ends up with one or two inches of water in the back seat. We are trying to patch the leak and will wait for rain to see if it works.

I got water in the left taillight of my 2007 too. I brought it to the dealer--he suggested putting a fish in it.

Seriously, a guy a couple of posts above says he gets water leaking into the cabin, but only when it rains. Well, that's because when it rains, water comes down from the sky and seeps in through whatever crack or bad seal there is in the roof or door. When it doesn't rain, there is no water coming down from the sky, so no water leaks inside the car.

As to moonroofs, there are only two kinds: those that leak, and those that haven't leaked yet.

Hope this helps.

Well, this looks like a serious problem....I have a 2010 and the back floor on the drivers side was soaked---and it does not look like the water is gathering anyplace else---we are disabled and since the car is out of warranty, I will have to fix it myself since I cannot afford garage prices---can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I had the same issue as you on my 07, having water in the rear drivers floor. I found out that the water was coming through the rubber seal around the wires going into the body behind the drivers fender. The seal wasn't pushed in all the way, so I pushed it in properly, and automotive siliconed it
