Hey all...went to install MS1 FINALLY today. I found a shop that had a Chrysler StarMobile. We plugged it in and nowhere could we find anything resembling "Misc Options" as described in all the instructions available online. Is there something obvious that we may have missed? The same issue was for my stock PCM as well as the MS1...no Misc Options. We could get into the ECU View showing the PCM, WCM, ABS etc.... and even selecting the PCM/WCM revealed no Misc Options. I have MS1 now and want this sucker installed...ideas?? ;-)

I thought it was a StarScan?

StarMobile doesn't sound right to me...
StarScan is the Big DRB that connected directly to the car through the OBD-II Port.

Star Mobile is a WiFi based DRB that you connect to the car and leave behind, and you can sit at a computer that talks to the WiFi OBD-II.

Alright, after looking at some Youtube vids, I have another stupid/obvious question regarding StarMobile. When we were using it at the shop yesterday, there were no techs in the shop so it was one of the front desk guys. We were trying to use the unit as a stand-alone unit. Are all the options/functions that you're talking about Aaron, needing a laptop?? We did not have a laptop during our tinkering. I'm definantly going to give them another shout on Monday when the techs are around and see if the problem was as simple as not having a laptop set up on the system. Would that make sense why we didn't see any of the "Misc Options" etc??

Well, I went back to the shop today armed with the knowledge that we needed a laptop with the StarMobile. Success!! Stage 1 was successfully installed with a StarMobile.
For any fellow westcoast Canadians, let me know and I'll pass you along to the shop that was an awesome, cheap alternative to the dealer...$40 and I'm a very happy camper!!
Thanks for the help!
