Yea anybody know where i should make a complaint against my dealer? I am not having a problem with the car but with the dealership. When i bought my caliber they lost the spare key to my car. They said they would DHL me a new key the next day. That was almost 2 months ago. Im in Iraq and it seems like they are giving my wife the run around. Each time she calls they put her on hold for long times or say they will call her back or say they are busy and to call back. They were not too busy to sell me the car. I feel like they have disrespected my wife and I. And on top of that they want her to drive 100 miles to get the new key cut because they say it needs to be programed. the local dealer where i am stationed will cut a new key but we would have to pay out of pocket. That is not fair. What should be done is A: They pay for the fuel for my wife to drive up there and get the new key or B: pay the dealership in my town to cut us the new key. I have had it with there disrespect. Sorry if im ranting on but im just fed up. Yea I know its just a key but its my key and i need it as a spare and its there fault they lost it. So where should i call to make a complaint against the dealership? thanks everyone.

I'd start with Chrysler customer Service.....see where that gets you.

x2.

They will more than likely just say it's a problem between the dealer and yourself though, but they may be able to help.

I'd also contact your local news station if they do a "problem solvers" type deal, and the BBB.

Customer service is a lost art.

Call Chrysler customer service and tell them what happened. They will start a report and will contact the dealer. The dealer has to fix the problem or the report stays open and will elevate the matter with the dealership.

They should be able to cut your new key with remote and send it to you. You can bring it to your local dealership and they can re-program under warranty. They'll need your car and current key to do it.

Is the problem the dealer doesn't want to give you the key or that you don't want to drive 100 miles. If it's the drive then there's not much Chrysler can do because thats up to the dealer whether they want to cover your gas.

Have you gotten the survey from Chrysler yet?

yes i got the servey from crysler but have not filled it out yet. its not just the fact that i dont want to drive the 100 miles (200 round trip). its the fact that they lost the key so why should i have to pay for the gas to get up there to get a new one. and now they are being d***'s about getting me a new one. the least they could do is arange for me to go to the dealership in my town to get the new one. and i bet a lot of you ar wondering why i did not buy from the dealer in my town arnt you lol.

I learned this lesson too...i bought from a dealer that is out of town and wasted the first 8 months running back and forth to them. I eventually got fed up and called the owner and explained the whole thing and he got a cheque cut for me. I now think that the dealer 2.5km away from my house the greatest thing ever and will buy my next car from them becasue of the service that they have given us, and the fact that if there is a problem, its nice and close.
